Memories of mistakes and missed opportunities replay in your mind, and you whisper, “If only…”
You try to rewrite them in your mind. Sadness creeps in. Regret lingers.
Yesterday’s failures drown out today’s possibilities.
Other times, you reach desperately into the future, thinking, "What if..."
You try to foresee and control a tomorrow you cannot see. You imagine every possible scenario and solution.
Tomorrow's anxiety builds like a storm as fear claws at your heart.
Caught between yesterday's regrets and tomorrow's anxieties, where can you find rest for your battered mind?
God calls you and me into the moment. He calls us to meet Him where He is: right here.
God is I AM. Not I was. Not I will be. He is here now. In this heartbeat. In this very place.
In Exodus 3:14, God reveals His name to Moses as “I AM.”
Jesus, the living embodiment of "I AM," declared these truths about Himself:
I AM the Bread of Life (John 6:35)
I AM the Light of the World (John 8:12)
I AM the Gate for the Sheep (John 10:7)
I AM the Good Shepherd (John 10:11)
I AM the Resurrection and the Life (John 11:25)
I AM the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6)
I AM the True Vine (John 15:1)
Christ in you is enough. He is sufficient for every need, every moment.
Living in the moment is not a modern invention but God's will for His children.
Living in the moment with God is not about ignoring the lessons of the past or dismissing the importance of planning for the future. It is about surrendering the control you were never meant to hold.
Living in the moment is whispering, “Lord, You are here. Help me to trust You right now.”
Whenever you feel lost in the tug-of-war of time and the present moment feels like an afterthought, catch yourself.
Let the peace of His presence fill the now, and live each moment in the freedom of I AM.
"I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." (Galatians 2:20, NIV)
