2 CORINTHIANS 12:9

A Prayer: When You Are Overwhelmed

Heavenly Father,

Thank You, Lord, for being my rock when I feel unsteady.

You know the tasks I can’t complete, every situation I can’t fix, and every thought I can’t quiet.

Nothing is hidden from You. Thank You for knowing me fully and loving me still.

Lord, Your Word promises that Your power is made perfect in my weakness.

Replace my anxiety with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding.

Remind me that You are the one who holds me together, even when it feels like I’m falling apart.

Help me, Lord, to let go of what I can’t control and to trust You with what I can’t see.

Teach me to take one step at a time and remind me that You invite me to cast my cares upon You.

Fill me with Your peace, surround me with Your love, and carry me through this day.

Thank You for Your faithfulness, even when I falter.

Thank You for Your love that never lets me go.

I bow my heart to You. I surrender my life to You, trusting that You work in ways I can’t yet see.

In Jesus’ name, I pray.
